The Residence Inn by Marriott is an extended stay hotel brand that currently has over 850 hotels across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. They were the first extended-stay brand in the US and helped to popularize the concept of a suite in a hotel, and have over 200 more locations planned for development in the coming years.
The Residence Inn by Marriott in Lacey, WA will be a new addition to the growing Britton Plaza hub. The new hotel is planned on a three-acre site within the plaza, with 157,500 SF, five stories, and 136 suites. The location will feature a fitness center, pool, conference rooms and laundry facilities, along with 128 parking spaces and covered bicycle parking.
Barghausen prepared civil and landscape design plans for the site. Our team also worked closely with the architect to help design the site plan. Our team was responsible for the utility plans along with plans for grading, roadways and drainage, sanitary sewer and water, landscape, and irrigation. Stormwater solutions utilized LID design features that include raingardens and Filtera Units for enhanced water quality prior to flowing into Britton Plaza’s infiltration galleries. Our extensive experience with the City of Lacey’s design standards led to limited revisions and seamless approval processes.
