Titus-Will Ford in Tacoma, WA has been serving the local community since 1938. In 2010, the dealership underwent a remodel to meet the new corporate requirements which included updated aesthetics and functionality. This project required partial demolition of an existing car sales building and the construction of a new 53,000 sf dealership. The updated dealership has two showrooms, a service drive-up, a three-bay oil changing pit, a 25-bay service facility, a two-story parts storage space, conference areas and offices for administrative and sales positions. Barghausen partnered with the Titus Will Automotive Group for this 3-phased redevelopment. Our team was responsible for the demolition plans along with TESC, grading and storm drainage, water, and sanitary sewer service plans for both phases. The demolition plans included the removal and reconstruction of the service drive lanes, customer service space, a large shop building and the showroom. It was important that the design worked around keeping the dealership operating as usual during construction. Stormwater plans included a StormFilter manhole with 14 cartridges that absorb and retain pollutants from runoff. This project also included frontage improvements along with additional asphalt parking.
