Bonaventure of Maple Valley is a newly opened senior living community in Maple Valley, Washington, providing best in class care and comfort for its residents, including independent living, assisted living, and memory care options. Bonaventure Senior Living currently has communities across three states, including Washington, Oregon, and Colorado, and this new development marks its 15th location in Washington.

This 4-story community spans 189,641 square feet and features 164 residences. There are a total of 98 assisted living suites, 28 memory care suites, and 38 independent living suites, including 6, 2-bedroom units. Residents can take advantage of community activities, a library, an on-site salon, dining, outdoor patios, gardening, a golf simulator, and much more. The site plan included a commercial drive aisle with a covered drop-off area, covered parking, 2 courtyards, walkways and ADA ramps, bike racks, and a pad for a future electric vehicle charging station.

Our firm was responsible for civil engineering, land use planning, and land surveying for the Bonaventure of Maple Valley. We provided plans for the site, composite utility, grading, paving, drainage, TESC, SWPPP, fire lane striping, water and sewer, and storm drainage. As part of the necessary infrastructure, our team designed a stormwater system to effectively manage rainwater on the property with 4 infiltration trenches and 9 bio-retention cells.

The stormwater runoff is conveyed to 11 infiltration facilities on the site via an underground pipe conveyance system. Runoff from impervious surfaces related to the building, walkways, and patios will be collected and conveyed directly to infiltration facilities that are separate from roof runoff and areas subject to vehicular use. Runoff from vehicular use is collected and conveyed to the smaller facilities that will be treated before discharging to infiltration facilities.
