Chevron-Extra Mile's first location opened in 2017. In just 8 years, they have expanded to over 1,000 sites across the United States. A new Chevron-Extra Mile store marked its grand opening in the Anatolia neighborhood of Rancho Cordova, CA, featuring a convenience store, car wash, and fueling station. This development is part of phase 1 of the Anatolia Retail Center, a 13.50± acre commercial project in the city of Rancho Cordova. The site borders a residential area to the east, newly constructed commercial sites to the west, and opportunities for additional commercial development to the south.

The project's site spans approximately 1 acre, with a 3,100± SF convenience store, and a 1,680± SF car wash including a storage and mechanical room. The 50' x 89' fueling canopy includes 6 dispensers and is supported by 2 underground storage tanks for gasoline and diesel. The unleaded tank can store up to 25,000 gallons of gasoline while the premium and diesel tank has a capacity of 22,000 gallons. The site offers 4 bicycle parking spots, and 12 parking stalls, including 1 ADA stall and 2 vacuum stalls.

The preexisting site was undeveloped and had evidence of previous earth-moving and grading operations. The entire site underwent disturbance with cut and fill activities to prep the new fueling station.

The Chevron-Extra Mile project was a pad-infill, enabling us to collaborate closely with a lead developer who oversaw the project. Throughout the project, we partnered with the client to effectively address any challenges that emerged.

Barghausen Consulting Engineers, Inc. provided architecture, civil engineering, energy system design, landscape architecture, and land permitting services for this project. We provided plans for the site, demolition, grading, drainage, utilities, fueling design, and landscape design.
