Costco adds Fueling in Mexico
Since 1996, Costco has offered the most competitive gas prices in the market. It wasn't until recently that they expanded their members-only fueling perks to Mexico, opening the first fueling station in 2017. Barghausen works with Costco’s design team to prepare fuel system construction documents for the Mexico expansion. While each location is unique, the scope of work remains consistent. Our team prepares site adapted underground storage tank and dispensing system plans along with electrical drawings for canopy lighting and system controls. Each fueling station typically includes three 120,000-liter gasoline tanks and one 6,000-liter additive tank. Additive tanks hold EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) detergent to enhance the quality and efficiency of fuels. According to Costco’s website, Kirkland Signature™ Gasoline contains five times the EPA detergent requirement in both regular unleaded and premium grades and is formulated to clean your engine and help your vehicle run like new. Since 2017, we have played a role in 13 fueling additions in Mexico, and Costco’s members are now enjoying the benefits of quick, affordable, top-tier gasoline.
